On Thursday afternoon I was lucky to get a call from Brad & Barrie Smith at Bonita Ranch outside of Stephenville. He said they were riding that evening, getting ready for a USTRC roping this weekend. Fortunately I was able to sneak out to their place just before sunset and catch some of the action. Their daughter Shelby and her cousin Cody were also there.
