This was the view out of my window seat on Tuesday, flying in to LaGuardia Airport at NYC. It was about 1 hour before sunset so the lighting was just starting to get good. If you look closely, you can see the crane company fixed the dangling crane on the top of new highest building in the city – it is now upright, after Hurricane Sandy almost knocked it off the building. This is a wallpaper sized image so you can download and zoom in.
After spending 2 days in NYC for meetings, I flew the red-eye to Brussels for more meetings and will leave on Sunday for Nairobi where I will be working for the next year among those who need help the most. My hope is that I can assist them while they teach me about things one would never see in the US and their culture.
Brussels is cold, damp and smells of waffles, literally. More to come…
